HUMAN-CENTRIC COMMUNICATIONS

“Build AI PR Capability” Team Workshop

Equip your in‑house team to plan, execute and measure modern, AI agent‑enabled PR and strategic communication. Most suitable for startups and in-house teams that must rely less on external agencies and more on their own leaders, experts and channels.

Benefits

  • Business value: Faster, more relevant communication; reduced external PR spend; clearer line of sight from narrative to commercial outcomes.
  • People value: Teams gain confidence using AI as a co‑pilot, freeing time for higher‑value strategy and stakeholder work.
  • Risk value: Better anticipation and handling of issues and crises in‑house, with disciplined AI use and human governance.

Audience

  • In‑house communications, marketing and HR/business partner teams
  • Senior leaders who act as spokespeople or narrative owners
  • High‑potential managers who will own issues, reputation and change communications

Outcomes

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  1. Design PR and communication strategies aligned to business goals and stakeholder needs.
  2. Use AI tools to research, ideate and draft content, while maintaining human judgment and brand voice.
  3. Run day‑to‑day media, influencer and stakeholder engagement without defaulting to an agency.
  4. Lead reputation and issue management, including social listening and crisis responses augmented by AI.
  5. Set clear KPIs and build simple, AI‑supported dashboards to measure impact.

Format

  • Delivery: 2‑day intensive core workshop + 4‑week virtual AI implementation clinics (90 minutes per week).
  • Mode: In‑person or hybrid, with optional executive media‑training add‑on.
  • Group size: 4–20 participants.

Core modules

1. From “press office” to AI‑enabled strategic communications

  • Why traditional agency‑centric PR is breaking down and what an AI‑enabled in‑house model looks like (integrated, data‑driven, stakeholder‑centric).
  • Mapping your current ecosystem: where value is created, where agencies are overused, and where AI can automate or augment internal work.
  • Demo: How large language models and other AI tools support research, idea generation and scenario planning.

2. Strategic PR planning, stakeholder mapping and AI research

  • Using a simple planning framework: objectives, audiences, insight, messaging, channels, measurement.
  • Stakeholder mapping and prioritization, including how to use AI to synthesize stakeholder insights from existing data (surveys, feedback, social comments).
  • Hands‑on: Use an AI assistant to generate stakeholder hypotheses, risk maps and campaign options, then refine them manually.

3. Narrative, messaging and content with AI co‑pilots

Crafting a core narrative and message house that can travel across internal, external and leadership channels.

Using AI to:

  • Draft first‑pass press notes, blogs, FAQs, talking points and internal updates.
  • Repurpose one story into multiple formats (executive LinkedIn post, employee note, media angle, short video script).
  • Guardrails: Brand voice, approvals, confidentiality and bias; where AI helps and where humans must lead.
  • Exercise: Teams bring a real piece of content and use AI to generate variants, then critique and improve them.

4. Media and influencer relations with AI support

Understanding the current media and creator landscape and what journalists/influencers actually value.

Using AI to:

  • Research journalists, outlets and creators.
  • Draft and tailor pitches and follow‑ups.
  • Role‑play Q&A and tough questions.

Skills lab:

  • Compare a human‑only pitch vs an AI‑drafted pitch, then combine the best of both.
  • Simulate an interview using an AI “journalist” helper to surface challenging questions.

5. Reputation, issues and crisis readiness with AI

  • How reputation is built and damaged today across platforms and employee voices.
  • Designing an in‑house issue and crisis playbook: roles, escalation, decision trees and stakeholder‑specific responses.

Using AI for:

  • Social listening summaries (working from your own inputs or anonymized examples).
  • Drafting holding statements and scenario‑based response options.
  • Simulation: Real‑time crisis exercise where teams use AI to explore scenarios and drafting options, then choose and refine the human‑approved responses.

6. Internal communication as first‑line PR

  • Why internal communication is now as critical as external PR for change, performance and reputation.
  • Using AI to support internal campaigns: segmentation ideas, FAQs, manager talking points, town‑hall scripts.
  • Exercise: Design an internal campaign for a strategic shift; use AI to generate supporting materials, then edit for nuance and culture.

7. Measurement, dashboards and AI‑assisted insight

Moving beyond clip counts to outcome‑based metrics: trust, advocacy, pipeline, talent, sentiment.

Using AI to:

  • Summarize qualitative feedback, social comments and survey verbatims into themes.
  • Draft simple narrative dashboards or monthly reports for leadership.
  • Resetting the agency relationship: when to use specialized partners, how to keep strategy, data and narrative ownership in‑house, and how AI reduces low‑value outsourced tasks.

AI implementation clinics (4‑week follow‑through)

Each week, Humantyze hosts a 90‑minute virtual clinic focused on applying AI to real work and reducing agency dependence:

  • Week 1 – AI‑supported planning: Review live PR/comms plans; use AI to stress‑test assumptions and generate alternative approaches.
  • Week 2 – Content studio with AI: Participants bring in‑progress materials; they use AI to create versions and receive coaching on quality control and voice.
  • Week 3 – Issues and crisis drills: Run short scenario drills using AI to explore possible stakeholder reactions and message options, then refine human responses.
  • Week 4 – Measurement and roadmap: Use AI to help draft a 6–12‑month capability roadmap, including where AI replaces agency tasks and where specialist partners are still valuable.
